About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Hire Desk Coordinator to join their busy operations team in Weston-super-Mare. This is a key role responsible for managing equipment hire enquiries, processing orders, and coordinating logistics to ensure a smooth and efficient service

You will act as the main point of contact for customers, handling hire requests, scheduling deliveries and collections, and working closely with internal teams to ensure all equipment is delivered on time and in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls and emails related to hire enquiries
  • Create, update, and close hire contracts using the company’s hire management system
  • Schedule equipment deliveries and collections, liaising with drivers and depot teams
  • Provide accurate information on availability, pricing, and specifications
  • Build strong relationships with customers and resolve any issues professionally
  • Maintain accurate records of hires, off-hires, damages, and customer interactions
  • Monitor machine availability and follow up on off-hires or extensions
  • Support the depot team with general administrative tasks
  • Ensure all hires meet operational, safety, and compliance standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a hire desk, logistics, or customer service role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient in using hire management or CRM systems
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of plant or equipment hire (desirable but not essential)

We do not charge Payroll Admin Fees or use Umbrella Companies to process your pay.
