Job Description

RecruitEasy are looking for a Safety Officer to work for our client based in Bristol, Bristol.

Our client requires an experienced and committed Safety Officer to join their team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace through the implementation of safety programs, regular inspections, and employee education. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying potential risks and ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine workplace safety checks and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Develop, implement, and update safety procedures and policies to meet legal and organisational requirements.
Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing support to staff on safe work practices and first aid awareness.
Prepare detailed reports following incidents, including root cause analysis and preventative action plans.
Work closely with management to promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and address any breaches promptly.
Assist in creating and testing emergency response procedures through drills and readiness activities.

Required Experience and Skills:

Proven experience in a safety-focused role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent written communication skills with experience producing detailed safety reports.
Knowledge of first aid protocols; certification is an advantage.
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop practical corrective solutions.
