RecruitEasy are looking for a EHS Health and Safety Manager to work for our client based in Exeter, Devon.
Job Roles:
Lead implementation and continuous improvement of integrated EHS Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).
Conduct site audits, hazard and risk assessments, ensuring proactive mitigation and root-cause investigations.
Act as the main liaison with HSE, EA, and other regulatory bodies, ensuring full legislative and corporate compliance.
Support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and corporate sustainability objectives.
Champion safe systems of work, including confined spaces, working at height, and site-specific risk controls.
Develop, deliver, and evaluate EHS training and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
Analyse and report on EHS performance metrics, driving strategic improvements in safety and environmental performance.
Demonstrable experience in a senior EHS or Health & Safety leadership role within construction or civil engineering sectors.
Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation, CDM Regulations, and ISO management standards.
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) essential; IEMA or environmental training desirable.
Solid understanding of environmental permitting, waste management, and site ecological impacts.
A confident communicator with the ability to engage teams and drive a positive safety culture at all levels.
